Vintage French work.

Pattern height: 1.70 cm
Pattern width: 0.80 cm

Condition: slight oxidation and slight micro scratches on the gold parts, natural inclusions in the opals, traces of glue on the back, see photos.

Opal takes its name from the Greek "opallios" which refers to its color changes. It was also said that opal was a bearer of hope and a symbol of purity. It was reputed to increase clairvoyance, aid meditation and reflection, and enhance intuition.
