Brooch made of 18-karat yellow gold and silver, depicting a poppy flower with red petals (coquelicot) in plique-à-jour enamel, accented with 20 flat rose-cut diamonds. In the center, the center of the flower and the pistils are made of yellow gold. The leaves, delicately crafted in silver, extend slightly beyond the outline and are dotted with small flat rose-cut diamonds. The structure on the back can be detached, perhaps to be attached to a hairpin or a tiara. Antique brooch, Belle Époque, circa 1890, Hippolyte Porlier.
