After launching the Tank Normale in 1917, the House of the Panther introduced a new model four years later: the Tank Cintrée. It features a more dynamic silhouette, a curved case, and a shape that hugs the curve of the wrist. But it retained all the characteristics of its predecessor, including its Sapphire crystal—a nod to jewelry design. Over the decades, the Tank has undergone numerous variations. The Tank Américaine was introduced in 1989. Drawing on the profile of the Tank Cintrée, its design became narrower, longer, more arched, and slightly thicker.
