JAEGER-LECOULTRE "Power Reserve 40h" Watch in Rose gold and Leather

JAEGER-LECOULTRE "Power Reserve 40h" Watch in Rose gold and Leather

Jaeger-LeCoultre Power Reserve “40h” – 18-carat rose gold (750/1000) – Caliber 481 automatic – 1950s.

Elegant and highly sought-after, this 18-carat rose gold Jaeger-LeCoultre Power Reserve “40h” perfectly exemplifies the Manufacture’s craftsmanship during the 1950s. It is powered by the famous automatic Caliber 481 with a bumper system, one of the first automatic movements developed by Jaeger-LeCoultre.

Its main attraction lies in its power reserve indicator positioned at 12 o’clock, a rare complication for the period. As the mainspring unwinds, the red sector gradually appears, providing an immediate reading of the remaining power reserve while giving the dial a particularly elegant aesthetic.

The original silver dial, which has never been restored, displays a superb, uniform patina with no significant oxidation. The applied rose gold Arabic numerals at 12, 3, 6, and 9 harmoniously alternate with faceted hour markers, while the rose gold Dauphine hands emphasize the overall elegance of the watch.

The 34-mm case in 18-carat rose gold has remained unpolished and retains well-defined edges as well as its original hallmarks on the back, attesting to its excellent condition.

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 481 automatic movement (No. 975080, 17 Ruby) was fully inspected, serviced, and adjusted by the Atelier des Tocantes (Paris) in June 2026, with excellent results on the chronocomparator.

The watch is fitted with a new leather strap and comes with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre case and a 12-month Warranty from Atelier des Tocantes.
